Located on the Altavilla hill immediately behind Alba, the house
is surrounded by hazelnut trees and vines that measure out the passing
of the seasons on our farm with the changes in their colours.
A very old path running by here links Alba to the Barbaresco wine-growing
area, and interesting archaeological Roman artefacts found not far
off during the last century - in Regione Belnuovo - are now kept
in Alba’s Eusebio Museum.
Today this path is marked on maps for walkers and cyclists, copies
of which are available to guests, along with all the other tourist
information relating to this area that can help make your stay as
complete and enjoyable as possible.
Wine-tastings can be organized in the cellars of small local producers,
and guests are welcome to watch - or even take part in - work on
the farm.
We will be on hand to recommend interesting trips into the hills
of the Langa, visiting old towns and villages, historical buildings,
castles and fortresses, as well as pilgrimages for devotees of poetry
and literature to the places made famous by the writers Cesare Pavese
and Beppe Fenoglio.
Though breakfast is the only meal we cater for, there are plenty
of restaurants and trattorias in the immediate neighbourhood serving
the typical dishes of Piedmontese cuisine.
And for sports enthusiasts:
Cherasco Golf Club (20 km)
Monforte Golf Club (21 km)
Alba Golf Club Practice Range (4 km)
Swimming pool (5 km)
Horse-riding stables (10 km)
Sports centre with tennis courts and football pitch (7 km)
